He was named 1995 player of the year by Sports Illustrated when he played for UNC-Chapel Hill. While there, he led the Tar Heels to a Final Four appearance. He was the third pick in the 1995 NBA Draft and began his NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers. He made the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1996. He is a two time NBA All-Star (2000 & 2001). After a stellar career in the NBA, he is now Head Coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores.
