For our 2022-2023 Fund-a-Need, we are looking to invest back into our original building to do some much-needed renovations and increase the visual appeal of our aging classrooms. A few of the focus areas are:
- Replacing all of the ceiling tiles in the hallways and classrooms to match (many have holes, water stains, mismatched or fading) to meet the fire code.
- Painting the metal ceiling tile track and light fixtures to brighten them up to match the tile
- replacing countertops where the laminate has started to chip away and has become a hazard for our younger kids.
- replacing windows where the seal has broken and the windows are fogged over.
- updating the window treatments in all classrooms to more modern trends
- replacing/cleaning ceramic tile and grout in classrooms
- update the men/women's restrooms/locker rooms flooring to fix broken and outdated tiles
- remove old lockers from locker rooms
- partition off the locker rooms from the restrooms
- remove old shower fixtures and add a private staff restroom on the back of the men's side and additional stalls in the back of the women's
- refresh the current only staff restroom
Updating these areas, in particular, the hallways and restrooms, will increase the first impressions that visitors will get when entering our school to attend sports games or potential new families that tour our facility. We already have a fantastic staff with some new facilities either recently or on the way, we need a fresh, bright, building to support and show off what TBS has to offer for that first-time "WOW" we want our visitors to feel.
